At Critical TechWorks, we are at the cutting edge of BMW Group’s technologies, and our Data Mastermind Wannabes are the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.

This role is intended for motivated learners eager to dive into the world of data engineering/analytics by mastering industry leading technologies and using software development best practices.

If you're passionate about data, love a challenge, and are ready to embark on an exciting learning journey, this is your opportunity to become a Data Mastermind.

**Your Journey as a Data Mastermind Wannabe**:

- **Intensive Learning Program**: Participate in our **one-month**on-site Academy**starting on January 12th, 2026**.**Training will be **fully in-person**, and after its completion, our hybrid model of three days per week in the office will apply. You'll learn fundamental concepts of data engineering, software development, cloud infrastructure (AWS), databases, and DevOps practices.
- **Fullstack** **Developmen**t: Work across the fullstack, from developing data transformation solutions, to robust data pipelines at scale.
- **Mentorship and Support**: Benefit from the guidance and support of our expert team, ready to help you navigate challenges and celebrate victories.
- **Agile Methodology Participation**: Actively engage in Scrum events, contributing to the agile development process.

**Whatever you’re working on, here’s the lowdown on the technical skills you’ll be developing**:

- **Cloud Computing Foundations**:Understand the basics of AWS and cloud platforms to support scalable data solutions.
- **Infrastructure as Code**: Get to grips with tools like Terraform for automated and replicable data environments.
- **Programming for Data**: Develop proficiency in programming with a focus on Python, the lingua franca of data science.
- **Data Modeling and SQL**: Learn the art of structuring data and querying databases to extract actionable insights.
- **Big Data Technologies**: Familiarize yourself with the Big Data ecosystem, including tools like Hadoop, Cassandra, and Apache Spark.

**The Essential Skills for Your Journey**:

- A degree in IT or experience in software engineering is mandatory to grasp the technical foundations.
- Be a **team player** with **excellent English oral and written skills.**
- Have a strong **motivation for software development** and the listed technical domains.
- Be ready to **adapt** **and learn continuously**in a dynamic workplace.

- **Embrace agile**and its implementation frameworks namely **Scrum**, to make the most out of all its events and work to keep evolving a high-performing team.
- **Be available to be a cross-functional team** **member**by using and developing new skills and enabling a fully responsible team able to cover the whole product lifecycle.
- **Be available to travel**abroad for short periods, as required, to support all the phases of the product development cycle when needed.
- Have **excellent English oral and written skills**. German communication skills will be a plus.
