The role of a Commodity Buyer is to structure the building of a supplier panel for one or more commodities and ensure the overall productivity of the panel. The main missions of the role are to:
- Structure the building of the panel: participate in the definition and the implementation of the purchasing panel policy for assigned commodities, manage supplier selection according to Group criteria
- Build together with European site's transport budget each year
- Manage the global suppliers productivity in relation with plant buyers
- Lead transport and customs costs optimization projects for Europe perimeter.
- Ensure the utilisation of the panel by program and plant buyers
- Assure the budget achievement following defined policies.
- Organise required workshops with Logistics department for transport flows synergies with other regions and Business Group
**Qualifications**
- Master's degree, if possible in engineering/Logistics, with a specialisation in international purchasing
- Buyer experience in an industrial/Logistics environment
- Results orientation with strong written and oral communications skills
- Ability to work in a matrixed organisation
- International mind set, overseas experience a plus
- English is mandatory and good level of Spanish
