Triangle Talent Portugal, is currently recruiting for a new production site in Agueda.

This is to be supplemented with a strategic purchasing department for the all company in Europe.

For this purpose we are looking for a dedicated and determined strategic buyer in full time at our client location in Agueda.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Establishment of an international strategic purchasing department in a German family-owned company at the Agueda site
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and ensure that the company is getting the right products and services at the right time
- Source new suppliers national and international and evaluate their suitability for the organization
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities to optimize the company's purchasing processes
- Manage the company's purchasing budget and track spending to ensure that it stays within allocated limits
- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and contracts
- Monitor the performance of suppliers and take corrective action as needed to ensure that they meet the company's expectations
- Preparation of strategic investments together with team at the site
- Direct reporting to the management board national & international
- Support of production relocation projects within the Group

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or a related field
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is a plus
- Very good command of written and spoken English
