**Role Purpose**:

- Having full ownership of the procurement process of the complete BOM of programmes from C1 to C6 phase, either as Programme leader of critical Category one programmes and/or by monitoring and providing guidance to the rest of programmes leaders within the region.
- With support from the commodity team, select and manage suppliers to ensure strict adherence to Programme targets (Quality, Cost, Delivery). Monitor and report KPI.
- This is a key regional role that requires people management skills and to balance the priorities among different programmes and stakeholders.
- As part of the senior Programme Procurement team, anticipate specific requirements for new programmes, drive improvements in the procurement processes and shape new wow with the different Programme stakeholders.

**Key Responsabilities**:

- **Product Specification**:

- Contribute to the technical product concept/specification offered to the customer.
- Participate in the program team from initial concept stage (Pre-RFQ) if needed.
- Involve expert suppliers at the Pre-RFQ phase as required.
- Manage the communication between Programme team and Suppliers regarding Engineering Change requests.
- **Supplier selection**:

- Run Strategic Sourcing Review in conjunction with the commodity team to define potential supplier selection panel required to support the programme, taking into account supplier technology, geographical location, target costs.
- Send RFQ to selected suppliers on the panel, consolidate detailed responses (in agreed standard format) for review
- Review supplier RFQ responses in conjunction with commodity team and Programme Purchasing Manager
- Perform negotiations and organise Sourcing Nomination
- Agree final supplier selection with commodity team and Programme Purchasing Manager
- Ensure complete legal documentation produced, sign off is correct and ensure controlled storage of all related documents.
- Manage specific mandated (directed) suppliers when requested and agreed with customers, assuring a proper legal framework and RASI is signed.
- **Drive and report performance**:

- Monitor review and manage programme purchasing performance v target costs (parts, tools and prototypes)
- Continue to monitor and manage supplier performance during the programme phase, including costs, quality and delivery.
- Identify, analyse and maintain a risk management plan of the programme BOM and set the right actions with the different stakeholders to avoid transfer or mitigate the risk to reduce its impact on the programme.
- Assure successful and timely Procurement Gateway reviews are held to obtain management approval.
- Support necessary “stage gate” reviews held within the programme management framework.
- Monitor and review quality during pilot programme phase
- APQP status report
- Maintain list of open points and take appropriate action to resolve
- Ensure and track the implementation of corrective actions for any deviation
- Ensure the effective transfer of the program to the plant buyer.
- **C0 / Go to Market (if needed)**:

- Prepare the Strategic Sourcing Reviews (SSR) during acquisition phase to pre-select key strategic suppliers and confirm targeted sourcing locations.
- Support make or buy investigations related to new programs.
- Align costing methods to project priority level: full RFQ costing versus surrogate costing methodologies.
- Work closely with internal Engineering, Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Financial personnel in order to compile, disseminate and make recommendations for cost and investment related information for direct materials.
- Prepares and presents relevant data validating Purchasing cost assumptions before the program is quoted to the customer. Prepares written reports, summarizes findings and makes recommendations, as appropriate.
- Coordinates functional teams to drive “design to cost” workshops and evaluates cost impacts of design alternatives.
- Identifies cost reduction opportunities and participates in undertake component teardown and other benchmarking activities.
- Ensure that development contracts are signed with expert suppliers before the start of any work with suppliers.
- Supports VA/VE activities to quantify/validate the benefit analysis and adopt in new programs, as appropriate.

**Essential Qualifications & Experience**:

- Diploma in Engineering or Business School, with a specialization in Purchasing or Supply Chain
- At least 5+ years of demonstrable work experience in Program, Commodity or Plant Procurement Manager in an industrial environment.
- Experience in both mechanical and electrical/electronic components procurement will be a plus.
- Fluent in English, with an international mind set.
- Ability to work in a matrix organisation.
