KI challengers (part of the KI group) offer our customers top-tier product development consulting and help to build large-scale digital spinoffs for European corporates. The focus of our projects is on digital strategy, company building, organizational development, and venturing. Services such as due diligence, definition of product development processes, hiring, and acting as sparring partners for top management round off our range of services. We focus on industries such as automotive, mobility, logistics, lifestyle, and financial services.

The role of design and research in this process is critical; a solution that both delights and engages the user often means being prepared for trade-offs to ensure that the right product goes to market.

As a UX Researcher at Ki challengers, you will be involved as much as possible in all stages of the product development process, from brainstorming business challenges and concepts right through to test and launch. Using your full range of research skills to help achieve the best possible.

Expect to work with a smart and caring cross-discipline team, with the client very much integrated within this team composition, or you very much ingrained into the client organization.

**Who you are**:

- You are a Lead User Experience Researcher with multiple years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research.
- You identify proactively research needs, drive and deliver strategic and complex research to the highest standard across company departments and projects.
- You have experience in leading and coaching less experienced colleagues and you have been successful at helping them grow their confidence and technical skills.
- You have successfully worked with teams to design research strategies that help the organization gain insights into key areas.
- You are the go-to expert for the product teams for a research method or other area of expertise.
- You can provide clarity to senior leadership and others about the value of user research and how it contributes to the Product team's strategy.
- You identify research questions that go beyond what the team has asked for.
- You consistently help shape and guide complex research projects, determining the best single or mixed-method approach to provide the insights and clarity your stakeholders need.
- You provide high-quality, compelling, and clear research briefs and reports, aligning the team's goals.
- Your choice of methods it's always driven by a complete understanding of their benefits and limitations. You educate teams about them and the resulting consequences of interpreting the research results.
- You are skilled in research project communication. You are independently and consistently in sync with teams.
- You have excellent collaboration skills, as well as being able to constructively direct action within teams.
- You are skilled in tackling research problems spanning a wide range of complexity and scope, touching multiple product areas, and involving other leads and managers.
- You are comfortable and effective in delivering research findings and narratives to Sr. Leads and managers.
- You have excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- You can proactively establish, build, and nurture long-lasting relationships across various departments.
- You think in terms of 'we' not 'me and actively seek opportunities to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- You see feedback as an opportunity for growth. You demonstrate respect for others and yourself.

**What you'll do**:

- You'll guide stakeholders through complex programs of research work and delivering to the highest standards.
- You'll understand how the decisions within the Product department are made, where the key decision points are, and where the key points of influence are.
- You'll work closely with delivery teams and the leadership team to scope and execute priority pieces of research.
- You'll design research repositories that can be used by the domains to access the knowledge available.
- You'll guide the teams through defining their research needs, supporting their long-term strategy. Creating clarity, provide structure and direction for them.
- You'll define and maintain a framework and process for capturing all data, insights, and results comprehensively.
- You'll generate insights through collaborative and complex synthesis. These insights are always instrumental in driving understanding and empathy among the team.
- You'll own a perspective on the immediate results of research projects, and how those insights might support, inform or contribute to larger programs of work/initiatives.
- You'll always have good knowledge about the key players and users in my product domain, roles, and processes across projects, including their motivations and aspirations, their anxieties, and frustrations.
