Dashlane is currently looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join the finance and accounting team reporting into the Global Controller. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for all financial and operational activities related to conducting and accounting for Payroll, Time and Benefits at Dashlane Portugal, and supporting the Finance Team on a multitude of projects related payroll and our employees in Portugal.

As our Payroll Specialist in Lisbon, you will be part of a dynamic global team and work close with key stakeholders across Finance and People Teams. You will collaborate directly with them helping to maintain appropriate internal controls and ensuring the integrity and completeness of the accounting and payroll data. You will focus on identifying and helping to implement process improvements to streamline and scale our current payroll process and related accounting operations.

You will have a key role in providing the greatest support to our employees, answering employee queries on payroll and other financial benefits, and supporting managers both in preparing payroll inputs as well as debriefing them and our staff on payroll outputs.

You'll have the opportunity to create and/or improve payroll processes that help generate and maintain an accurate, compliant and clear workflow related to one of (if not) _the _most important item(s) in any employee's work life (their compensation).

This position is based in our Lisbon office, or remotely within easy commuting distance to our office.

**At Dashlane you will**:

- Be responsible for timely and flawless payroll processes, ensuring controls are in place and enforced, all in proper collaboration with the larger Finance and People teams
- Enroll employees in the benefits cycle and maintain the platforms
- Support employees on payroll, time and benefit-related queries through proper and approved communication channels, doing so using high quality, friendly and always available guidance
- Guarantee the monthly payroll closure activities align with implemented processes and workflows, mastering data collection and validation (data input in systems and needed validations)
- Deliver information to external authorities (Tax, Social Security, FCT, and other authorities) and ensure monthly/yearly reporting and payment obligations
- Monitor data quality in the given HR/payroll systems according to implemented validation routines and audits
- Liaise with key stakeholders, in particular on the People and Finance teams
- Monitor internal processes and policies, and advise stakeholders in the People and Finance teams, as needed, when changes to our payroll processes and/or systems are required
- Analyze new local/national legislation and HR rules, and assess their impact on the processes, procedures and tools
- Lead cashflow forecasting related to payroll and benefits, in support of our Accounting and FP&A teams
- Participate in and support the team in any payroll and other financial audits, transfer pricing projects, etc.
- Enhance and establish efficient controls to reduce the risk of error and other failures
- Assist People and Finance teams with ad hoc compensation & benefits projects

**Requirements**:

- 4+ years of experience as a Payroll Administrator in Portugal (in-house payroll and benefits experience is ideal)
- Knowledge of local income tax, social security, pension, statutory leaves, and other payroll-related elements
- Hands-on experience with payroll and HR software
- Experience and strong skills using Excel **_and_** Google Sheets
- Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Innovative and resourceful mindset, suitable for a fast growing technology company
