As a Kitchen Manager, you'll play an essential role in our team by ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and ensuring that every dish served is a delightful experience for our guests. **Responsibilities**:
Make our dishes irresistible:

- Oversee and do the preparation of dishes following our authentic recipes and high-quality standards.
- Develop creative menus in collaboration with management, taking into account customer preferences, seasons and availability of ingredients.
- Monitor the quality of dishes served and ensure they meet presentation and flavor standards

Empower our team:

- Train and supervise a dedicated kitchen team.
- Encourage creativity and idea-sharing within the team.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards, as well as occupational health and safety rules.
- Cultivate a work environment where teamwork and respect prevail.
- Communicate clearly and openly with the entire team to ensure smooth collaboration.

Cost control and activity planning:

- Manage kitchen budget by controlling food costs, forecasting, managing inventory, and reducing waste.
- Collaborate with suppliers to select the best products and negotiate prices.
- Manage orders and deliveries, ensuring products arrive on time and in good condition.
- Assist in receiving deliveries and arranging products in appropriate storage areas.

Be a caring member of Léon:

- Ensure that kitchen facilities and equipment are maintained in good working order, coordinating necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Participate in dishwashing by washing dishes, kitchenware, and kitchen equipment.
- Participate in cleaning and maintaining workspaces for employees, ensuring cleanliness standards are met.
- Ensure regular maintenance of guest areas, ensuring they are clean, well maintained and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Make sure your working place is a joyful and friendly place.

**Requirements**:

- Love for traditional cuisine and passion for the culinary arts, attention to detail and commitment to excellence to maintain high standards of quality.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, cooking methods and food management.
- Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent certification would be an advantage.
- Strong sense of creativity and innovation to develop attractive and original menus.
- Previous experience in a leadership role in the kitchen or demonstrated passion for teamwork.
- Knowledge of food hygiene standards and ability to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English to facilitate communication with the team and clients, if necessary. Fluency in French would be a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a dynamic environment.
