About this role
RetSci is seeking a motivated and passionate Project Manager to join our fast-growing team. This team member will become an expert in our vendor partners' software product offering and assist with delivering their solutions or our forecasting services to our customers.
Our team implements solutions to help retailers with the following processes:
- Assortment Planning
- Merchandise Financial Planning
- Location Planning
- Item Planning
- Forecasting
- Replenishment
- Allocation
What you will do
- Successfully manage the delivery of end-to-end projects and manage client expectations
- Create and manage roadmaps and project plans
- Manage day-to-day monitoring tasks and activities, and initiate corrective action where necessary in order to keep the project on track.
- Manage the project based onthe agreed scope as defined in Statement of Work
- Manage scope creep, ensure change requests are clearly called out, agreed, and impacted against the timeline.
- Continually assess action items, risks, and issues maintaining risk and issue logs and contingency plans
- Prepare and deliver reporting and escalate any issues, as appropriate & in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain backlog of product enhancements to meet tactical needs and strategic goals.
- Provide counseling & coaching, oversight, and support for teams.
- Manage project(s) financials, including the development of financial plans.
- Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process.
We would love to hear from you if you have
- Bachelor's degree with excellent academics in business or technology disciplines (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science)
- 3-5+ years of experience in consulting or previous experience in process design and requirements gathering for software delivery.
- Strong attention to detail, focus, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
- An ability to create and maintain strong cross-functional internal relationships and client relationships through strong communication skills.
- A collaborative attitude and working style, willingness to share and use the best ideas.
- The ability to be creative while also working towards goals and timelines.
- The ability to lead projects and work with minimal supervision.
Even better if you have
- Experience in retail
- PL/SQL experience
- Experience leading projects and managing timelines/resources/financials
