Job Title: People Manager

Location: Hybrid - Lisbon (Portugal-based)

Role Overview

As a People Manager at Velv, you will be responsible for helping to build and manage our IT consulting team for the Portuguese market. You will lead the recruitment process, attract top IT talent, and provide continuous support and career guidance to consultants to ensure engagement and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full life-cycle recruitment for IT roles, from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Conduct structured interviews and assess candidate fit for technical and cultural requirements.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of software development roles and technologies to better evaluate candidates.
  • Use recruiting tools and platforms to optimise sourcing and selection.
  • Develop and execute employer branding initiatives to attract top talent in Portugal.
  • Manage and support a team of IT consultants, providing regular check-ins, career development guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting strategies to meet hiring needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in full life-cycle IT recruitment.
  • Experience in the IT industry or knowledge of software development technologies (preferred).
  • Proficiency in recruiting software/tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proactive, innovative, and results-driven mindset.
