On-site Support Technician – IT & Networks
Main Responsibilities
The on-site support technician provides local user support and ensures the maintenance, monitoring, and availability of IT equipment and services on site (in Lisbon)
Mode: Hybrid (3 days remote. 2 in the office)
Maintenance and User Support
- Provide on-site hardware and software maintenance for IT and telephony equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance (rounds) in technical rooms and user areas.
- Carry out corrective maintenance in case of incidents (on-site troubleshooting, hands-on support).
- Provide on-site support for videoconference rooms, technical rooms, hot desks, etc.
- Handle and prioritize VIP service requests.
Stock Management and Logistics
- Manage the buffer stock of replacement equipment: rotation, replenishment, preparation, and delivery of material.
- Oversee equipment logistics: storage, preparation, and distribution.
Incident Tracking and ITSM Tools
- Perform administrative incident management within the ITSM tool (ServiceNow).
- Document interventions and maintain associated procedures.
Network Management and Coordination
- Manage the required network resources for support: patching, physical ports, connections.
- Coordinate actions with the network team to ensure service continuity.
Required Skills:
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of IT environments and networks.
- Proficiency in Windows systems; macOS knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of mobile devices.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of technical incidents.
- Familiarity with ITSM and ticketing tools (ServiceNow).
- Good writing skills for drafting procedures and reports.
Soft Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with users and clients.
- Ability to communicate in technical English.
- Proactive and able to make suggestions for improvement.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Stress resistance and ability to handle emergency situations.
- Ability to make sound decisions and bring others on board.
Experience
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar position.
