The company:OSCAR is an on-demand home services app, offering over 150 fixed-price tasks such as repair, cleaning, and laundry, within a 30-minute reach. We're embarking on an exciting journey of international expansion to become one Europe's top players in the home services industry.
As a well-funded Portuguese startup with a small, close-knit team of fewer than 20 members, we have already achieved notable recognition in the industry. We are growing at a very fast pace, consistently ranking as the top app in the Lifestyle category of App Stores, and we are market leaders in Portugal. Fueling explosive growth is at the heart of everything we do, and we need a growth leader to champion this mission. As our Head of Growth, you'll orchestrate a data-driven strategy to amplify user acquisition, engagement, and retention across all our markets. This includes fostering a culture of customer-centricity and building robust communication channels to keep our users informed and engaged.
About the role
● Strategy: Own your market by defining your business goals, set bold timelines to reach them and have full financial and strategic control;
● Business Growth: Lead the strategic expansion of OSCAR services, ensuring the acquisition of new and engaged users, while retaining our existing customer base;
● Operational Excellence: Manage local operations and adapt existing processes to create a user and service provider-friendly, transparent and efficient platform;
● Team Building: Recruit, lead and develop a top-quality team to ensure the success and growth of OSCAR in Spain;
● Regional Expansion: Work closely with the leadership team to launch OSCAR in new regions of Portugal, sharing best practices and local insights;
● Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify opportunities for growth, new services and improvements in the app user experience;
● Product Development: Actively search for new features that could improve both our customer and service provider experience on OSCAR;
● Community Engagement: Act as a dedicated advocate for OSCAR in Portugal, building strong relationships with service providers, customers and local partners;
● Problem Solver: Tackle complex issues and challenges that may arise, ensuring thesmooth operation of OSCAR services.
About you
● Experience: 4+ years of experience in roles focused on launching new markets, business development, operations or general management. Knowledge of local market dynamics and an entrepreneurial spirit is highly valued;
● Track Record: A demonstrated track record of managing and leading high-performance teams in a fast-growing environment;
● Language Skills: Proficiency in both English and Portuguese, encompassing speaking, reading and writing;
● Passion: Dedication to OSCAR's mission and commitment to shape the future of home services in your region;
● Results-Oriented & Independent: Demonstrate the ability to achieve resultsindependently, driven by data analysis, testing and creative problem-solving;
● Strategic Mindset: Maintain a broad overview of the country you oversee but be prepared to be hands-on whenever necessary;

Our Process
The recruitment process will consist of four stages:
1. Resume Screening: We'll carefully review your resume to assess your qualifications and fit for the role;
2. Screening Interview: You'll have a first meeting with OSCAR’s COO to discuss your experience, skills and enthusiasm for the role;
3. Business Case: As the third step, you will be asked to prepare a business case that demonstrates your strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. This step allows us to assess your ability to analyze complex situations and make data-driven decisions;
4. Culture FitInterview: In the final interview, our founder and CEO will assess your potential to contribute to OSCAR's growth and success;
