Purpose of Role


The Head of Demand Generation is accountable for all activities across the entire marketing funnel, with particular emphasis on Paid and Owned channels, funnel velocity and conversion rate optimisation at each stage of the funnel.

The postholder will be obsessive about conducting experimentation and learning across every stage of the funnel, driving less Newsletter reliance and a key contributor in improving the Marketing Return on Investment (ROMI).

Whilst overseeing the functions of Search Marketing, Marketing Automation, Customer Engagement and Content Marketing & Optimisation - the key focus for the Head of Demand Generation will be understand and solve the factors that drive complexity in the B2B buying process, including organisational change, information overload and buying group dynamics.

The output will likely be in the provision of tools and content that support buyer enablement and build long-term brand equity for HBK.

This position can be based in either Portugal, Spain, Italy, France or the U.K. with a mix of home office and office-based environment.


The Head of Demand Generation will work closely with the entire global marketing team to deliver marketing leading performance for our customers.

You will also work with and across function departments including Sales, Product Management, and Customer Care, and Finance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute demand generation initiatives to drive new HBK leads and nurture our existing database of leads executing short
- and long-term multi-channel campaigns to drive leads and the sales pipeline
  • Develop integrated paid and organic programs that significantly increase the marketing database and overall pipeline (e.g., Google PPC, content marketing, webinars, events)
  • Work with the content marketing and sales teams to deploy and promote marketing materials to drive awareness and interest
  • Deliver, deploy and monitor overall marketing campaign performance, targeting >150% ROMI achieved through optimisation of Search, Marketing Automation, Customer Engagement and Content Marketing. Leading A/B testing strategies and execution across all channels
  • Improve efficiency and effectiveness of our demand generation programs to measure effectiveness, performance and ROI of marketing spend to better nurture leads, increase conversion rates to marketing qualified leads and improve the integrity of the overall database
  • Assisting in content development to target consumers throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Working within a team of digital marketing professionals and collaborating with other departments, like sales and content, to develop and enhance strategies and build effective support programs, such as sales enablement
  • Identifying new markets and advertising tactics to encourage business growth
  • Build strong relationships with regional Sales as well as other cross function departments like Product Management, Customer Care, and Finance aligning demand generation strategies in development of sales support collateral and tools which maximise our conversion opportunities

Professional Qualifications / Experience- A relevant degree or equivalent experience in a similar role with a strong track-record of Marketing is preferred- Previous experience of working with technical B2B company or a production, manufacturing or technical environment would be helpful
