About the role

  • Our Accounts Payable Transversal Operations team, composed of 10 people, is integrated in the Procurement Service Line and focuses on delivering accounts payable operations in collaboration with other Accounts Payable teams, as well as other departments, such as Finance.
  • As an Accounts Payable Representative, you will work on performing transactional operations on a day-to-day basis, according to operational procedures, respecting service, quality and customer satisfaction targets to support the whole Procurement department, while working on continuous improvement.
  • You will get the opportunity to contribute to the success of our Global Business Services and have a positive impact on the whole Solvay Group.

You will be accountable for:

  • Invoice postings (MM, FI, Self billing)
  • Reconcile statements (Accruals, IFRS16, Packaging, specific suppliers, agents, etc) and respective corrections
  • Clearing of Accounts
  • Elaborations of reports
  • Internal controls (invoice blocks, two way match, MRBR, etc)
  • Connect all needed stakeholders within SBS (Finance, HR, IMI, Plant Controllers, Controllers, CAM's, project managers) and when needed, beyond (Solvay employees, suppliers, customers, agents, auditors...)
  • Ensuring the application and deployment of Solvay's policies and procedures.
  • Assessing potential risks associated with inefficient and/or lack of procedures on tasks within the team scope.
  • Process and ensure operations are performed on a timely basis according to SLAs, detailed procedures and respecting quality, compliance and customer satisfaction
  • We offer a fixed-term 9-month contract based on a hybrid working mode.

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • Relevant work experience in Global Business Services is a plus.

Competencies:

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
  • Google Tools Knowledge (Excel sheets)
  • SAP Knowledge is a plus

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While Portugal's base pay reasonably expected for this role is 1100 to 1400 EUR, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
