As lead for People Operations, you will manage a small team of People Associates across different offices to deliver a set of core people services. In partnership with the wider People Team, your role involves driving innovation, enhancing employee experiences, and ensuring our People Operations strategies are forward-thinking and aligned with our business goals.

Responsibilities

  1. Accountable for all People Ops products, including Onboarding, Benefits, HRIS, Payrolls, HR Tech stack, Engagement Survey, Performance Review, Mobility, Offboarding.
  2. Key point of escalation, collaborating with People Partners, Talent Team, and other departments to ensure smooth People operations.
  3. Provide operational support to managers and employees on People-related enquiries, guidelines and processes.
  4. Lead efforts to enhance the People service delivery model, utilising technology and process improvement strategies.
  5. Bring attention to relevant legal and compliance matters, monitoring employment law and regulation changes in the markets we operate that may impact People operations, and implementing necessary adjustments to processes and guidelines.
  6. Work with external suppliers to manage global benefits programs and monitor supplier performance.
  7. Coach and advise people managers on the full spectrum of employee initiatives across the whole employee lifecycle.
  8. Partner with People Partners to support the delivery of appropriate training and development programs.

What we are looking for in you

  1. HR Expertise: Strong experience in HR Operations, including leadership of HR initiatives across regions within a global business. Proven ability to manage and develop teams, with hands-on experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  2. People Management: Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
  3. Stakeholder Management: Experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders, providing expert advice and guidance on people-related matters.
  4. Global Perspective: Experience working in a global organisation, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances and diverse workforce needs.
  5. Compliance & Legal: Knowledge and practical implementation of HR practices and employment law across Portugal and the United Kingdom.
  6. Data-Driven Approach: Leveraging data to make informed decisions, analyse trends, and identify areas for improvement.
  7. HR Systems: Proficiency with HRIS systems and point solutions (e.g., HiBob, CultureAmp).

  1. Operational Excellence: A good balance between leading and executing, with the ability to be hands-on involved in daily People routines. Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
  2. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communicator with professional interpersonal skills. Calm and approachable demeanour.
  3. Problem-solving & Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues, analyse data, and implement effective solutions.
  4. Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to thrive in a dynamic scale-up environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, organised, accurate, confident, authentic, results-oriented, open-minded, enthusiastic, and energetic. Desire to learn, grow and develop. Proven leadership ability.
