Overview Of The Role

PagerDuty is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our diverse, customer-focused team As Business Development Representative, you will report to a Manager of Sales Development and as part of a dynamic team, you'll collaborate closely with our talented Account Executives, fuelling their pipelines with promising leads and conquering territories together. Your role will be to ignite their interest through a modern approach to outbound prospecting, nurturing, educating and captivating them with the incredible value of PagerDuty.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Value Selling: Focus on highlighting the unique PD value and benefit our products and services can provide to a customer. It goes beyond just features and price, emphasising the impact and solutions that address the customer's specific needs or challenges.
  • Effectively communicate PagerDuty's business value proposition to evaluate interest in making a purchase, demonstrating a strong passion for transformation and innovation.
  • Quickly adapt to the Command of the Message (COM) selling model and employ solution selling/customer-centric sales method.
Sales Effectiveness: Establishing, overseeing and maintaining genuine connections with customers.
  • Consistently achieve sales goals, maintaining a proven track record of success.
  • Exhibit strong collaboration and time management skills to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Sales Execution: Ensuring that one's own and others' work and information are complete and accurate; careful preparation for meetings and presentations; following up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled to contribute to PagerDuty's long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize best practices in account development to strategically target enterprise accounts, leveraging various communication channels such as phone, email, video, and social technologies.
  • Employ a discovery process to engage in conversations with practitioners and management levels of our target accounts.
  • Proficiently use Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Outreach and Demandbase to optimize sales activities and focus.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with potential customers and build relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage and prioritise multiple leads and opportunities effectively.
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment.
  • Passion for technology.
  • 1-2 Years experience in outbound prospecting.
  • Spanish speaking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using salesforce.com preferred.
  • BA/BS Degree.
