We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our pre-opening team at Andaz Lisbon. Expected to open in Q2 2025, Andaz Lisbon will offer guests an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital.
Andaz Lisbon is set to become the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Lisbon.
Located in the center of Lisbon's bustling Baixa district, the hotel will be comprised of five separate buildings, including the former offices of one of the major banks in Portugal, Banco Português de Investimento (BPI).
This unique Urban Resort in the city center will allow guests to fully embrace the locale and experience authentic Lisbon.
About the roleAs Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest, and owner expectations.
You will assist the Restaurant Manager in managing the assigned outlet as a successful independent profit center, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget, helping to ensure the financial success of the outlet, training, scheduling, and managing the team of the outlet.
QualificationsQualifications - External Ideally with a degree or equivalent qualificationRelevant experience in a similar roleAbility to lead and motivate a diverse team, including servers, bartenders, and supervisorsConflict resolution and problem-solving skills to address issues with staff or service deliveryStrong focus on delivering exceptional guest experiencesBudget management, including monitoring costs, pricing strategies, and profit marginsStrong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customersQuick decision-making in high-pressure environments, ensuring seamless service during busy timesAbility to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee stock levels to ensure timely availability of itemsPre-Opening Experience an advantageIf this sounds interesting, and a little bit like you, go ahead - click and apply
