**ROLE SUMMARY**:

- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons aligned with the **Cambridge Lower Secondary English** and **IGCSE Language and Literature** frameworks.
- Inspire students to develop confidence in English language acquisition and a passion for literary exploration.
- Use effective **ESL strategies** to differentiate teaching for students of varying English proficiency levels.
- Foster critical thinking, writing, and communication skills through diverse texts, grammar development, and analytical activities.
- Monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments, providing actionable feedback to drive academic success.
- Support students’ preparation for **Cambridge IGCSE examinations**, ensuring achievement of their academic goals.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for international and ESL learners.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, enhancing foundational English skills and literary appreciation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enrich the school’s dynamic academic community.
- Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities such as debating clubs, creative writing competitions, and literature circles.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:

- A degree in **English, English Literature, Applied Linguistics**, or a related field.
- A valid teaching qualification with experience teaching **Cambridge Lower Secondary** and **IGCSE English Language and Literature**.
- Proven experience teaching **ESL learners** in an international school environment.
- A passion for developing students’ confidence and fluency in English.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
