Universal Group has been developing several projects related to renewable energies and is looking for an Human Resources Administrator for our office in Porto, to work closely with the administration team.

The HR will provide administrative and project-based support in the functional areas of HR administration / data integrity, reporting / analytics, employee relations, performance management, compensation, training and development, new employee onboarding and orientation and compliance. In addition, this role may perform a variety of administrative office functions in support of the administration department of moderate to advanced complexity with limited supervision.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Provides day to day HR administrative support including but not limited to;
- Acting as a point of contact for managers and employees, to answer inquiries and resolve issues related to payroll, absence management leave administration, processes, absence management and policies.
- Accurately processes employee changes including promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, bonus payments, exits and produces supporting documentation such as promotion letters.
- Coordinates employee exits with IT and Payroll. Ensures employees receive pertinent exit information.
- Job description creation/updates on job sites
- Assists with entrance and exit interviews
- Collect and compile relevant variables for payroll processing
- Prepare payroll files for submission to the payroll outsourcing provider.
- Coordinate payroll submission to the finance department.
- Request and collect required documentation from new hires.
- Communicate and coordinate with the onboarding agency.
- Prepare employment contracts.
- Communicate new hires' information to the medical consultation provider.
- Ensure compliance with legal obligations related to occupational health and safety.
- Assist with organising and participating in accident and incident reporting.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

- Broad knowledge across HR functional areas including compliance, HR administration, employee relations, employment law, engagement, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, talent acquisition and more.
- Demonstrates a hyper organised, solutions oriented and employee-centric mindset.
- Some knowledge of general employment laws.
- Understanding of HR processes and best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English & Portuguese
- Demonstrates comfort with technology (Monday, Odoo, TOC Online, Microsoft Office Suite)
- Comfortable multitasking and pivoting between tasks frequently & prioritise accordingly (your responsibilities are versatile which requires flexibility)
- Proven to be a resourceful problem-solver with a process improvement mindset. Ability to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and execute change.
- Conducts all job responsibilities with the highest degree of confidentiality.
- Demonstrates sound time management and is well-organised.
- Independent self-starter who enjoys taking responsibility

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum 5 years professional experience
- Fluent in English & Portuguese
- Professional or academic training in Human Resources valued
- Great interpersonal relationship skills
- Dynamism, organisational skills and time management
