Our Clinical LIMS Europe Program will extensively be used as the central Laboratory Information Management System throughout Europe, this role is crucial in defining and delivering support &
**Team Management**
**He/She will be fully responsible for a team of up to 25 direct reports in multiple geographic regions setting up smart objectives to drive a continues improvement culture; and interact positively and collaboratively with other team heads and senior leadership, navigate large company processes.**
**Where will you be based and what business will you support?**
The role is based in Lisbon, with a hybrid working model (2 days in the office), occasional travel outside of Portugal may be required.
**How can you help us?**
As a **Head of Development**, you will actively interact with Product Owners, scrum masters, testers, developers and other stakeholders to, reporting to the Program Technical Director:
- Navigate corporate policies to enhance team delivery
- Plan, coordinate and deliver IT Applications as required by the Program
- Be responsible for communicating KPIs.
- Maintain, modify, optimize and extend existing solutions as a part of support and performance optimization projects;
- Work together with other team members (Product Owner, Scrum Master, Dev/QA etc) to ensure high quality of delivered solutions;
- Collaborate with Software Architect(s) and other technical groups within Eurofins to support design, documentation, prototyping and validation;
- Ensure good practices and high quality coding &security standards are implemented and followed.

- Good understanding of software design & architecture principles;
- Empathetic leadership skills
- Strong experience in designing and working with n-tier architecture solutions;
- Experience in test driven development and test automation on all levels;
- Strong working knowledge on server-side development
- Solid working knowledge of Angular 10+;
- Understanding and Prior exposure to Co-Pilot
- Good understanding of relational databases (mssql);
- Basic knowledge of AWS Cloud concept and tools (Cloud concepts, Docker, Kubernetes);
- Comfortable in unit testing and mocking for Java and Angular;
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and Object Oriented Design principles;
- Knowldege of UX/UI design
- Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices (e.g. SOLID);
- Able to provide technical recommendations and solve technical problems;
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
- Fluent **English **communication skills required (written/oral). Knowledge of another language is a plus.
