**Tasks and responsibilities**:
- Supervise AP accountants within the team and provide training to team members, keep them informed, prepare performance reviews and provide direction on team goals and objectives in line with AP department targets;
- Support in resolving complex invoicing issues and overdue accounts with vendors;
- Backup for payment of liabilities, receipt and audit of invoice;
- Supervise AP processes to ensure that they are followed;
- Approval of payment run in accordance with policy;
- Support in the preparation of financial statements (month, quarter, year);
- Execution of balance reconciliation and account maintenance;
- Perform and supervise month end closing activities (e.g. accruals, deferrals, etc...);
- Handling of consignment stock clearing process and invoice postings;
- Support intercompany AP reconciliation;
- Participation in project work;
- Review monthly journal entries and perform account analysis for reporting to management;
- Provide support related to annual and interim audits in close cooperation with other departments and auditors;
- Ensure that the team follows kp Business Services policies and rules, including travel and expenses;
- Performance appraisal of team;
- Development of team and individuals;
- Management of working hours, attendance and holiday planning, including public holiday (customer and local);
- Identify and execute efficiency improvements.

- Lead by example, motivate, empower and manage the team;
- Review work performed by the team and provide training and direction;

- Anticipate and resolve conflicts by pursuing mutually agreeable solutions;

- Treat sensitive and/or confidential information appropriately.
**Knowledge**:
- Strong knowledge of IFRS;
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards in one of the following GAAPs: Portugal, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, UK or USA;
- Knowledge of cost and performance accounting
- Project planning and project management skills.
**Functional/Technical Skills**:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field;
- Professional working proficiency in English another European language (German, Italian, French, Spanish and Dutch preferred);
- Strong Leadership, Team Work and People Management skills;
- Excellent Planning and Organisation;
- Persuasiveness and Negotiation skills;
- Effective business writing and professional communication skills;
- Ability to think in complex environments and work in global matrix organizations;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
**Experience**:
- 6+ years of professional experience in finance and accounting or equivalent;
- 2+ years of leading team experience;
- Experience within a Shared Service Centre environment and transition.
