**Who we are**:
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has an HR Regional Corporate Services Hub (RCSH) in Lisbon, overseeing 83 British Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates in 50 Countries in Europe and Central Asia.

**What we do**:
We are the HR Regional Corporate Services Hub, and we provide top notch HR Services including recruitment, pay and reward, talent and performance management and advise on everything HR related to our 50 countries. We support employees, line mangers and senior leadership teams with both operational and strategic issues and challenges.

**What is this role all about?**

The HR Assistant will join the team on fixed term contract (12 months) and be part of the Advisory team. This is a great opportunity to work with different aspects of HR administration in an international environment. You will be part of the HR Advisory team and support with a range of activities including being responsible for employee life cycle management, HR administration related to a new HR system launch, database clean and system changes. There is also the opportunity to learn about new cultures and HR processes across different countries.

If you are passionate about HR and data, are highly motivated, flexible and know how to prioritise accordingly, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with people at all levels in a fast-paced environment, then we are looking for you English fluency is mandatory and Portuguese is a nice to have.

The role includes a diversity of HR related administrative tasks, namely:
Support employee life cycle management, perform HR transactional tasks and handle HR enquiries;
Ensure database accuracy, perform regular cleansings and produce monthly reports;
Manage the HR data for our countries including monthly reporting and contract trackers;
Check Job Applications inbox and answer to enquiries;
Perform administrative tasks related to recruitment;
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience
- Degree in either HR, Psychology, business administration or related areas;
- 1 year minimum experience in general Human Resources;
- Excellent level of English is essential (both oral and written);
- Excellent organisational, communication and analytical skills, as well as attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with an extended team;
- Ability to partner remotely with people at all levels of seniority in an international environment;
- Manage time effectively under own direction and prioritise tasks;
- Customer focus approach;

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
- International experience, either by working or studying abroad.
