**The position**
- As our Communication Manager you will be the responsible for the Communication in Portugal with a strategic perspective, strengthening and protecting the Novo Nordisk reputation through professional communications engagement.- You will work in an open and diverse company culture, innovative and with great, passionate colleagues.-
- Some of your responsibilities will be to:
- Lead the development of the Novo Nordisk-Portugal corporate communications strategy and tactical execution, ensuring communications consistency and alignment with our purpose and business objectives.
- Proactively identifying opportunities and potential issues relating to Corporate and product brands and develop communication plans accordingly.
- Lead the Issues Management Team, including issues scanning and review process.
- Advise and coach Novo Nordisk’s spokespeople, ensuring media training and systematic approach on message houses to ensure a coherent voice across the company.
- Manage agency relationships, providing direction, project management and performance reviews. Also, you will establish and nurture a network of high-impact journalists relevant to Novo Nordisk

**Qualifications**
- University degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or another related field.
- 10+ years of significant Communication experience in the healthcare sector, policy communication or in other high-volume media industries
- Strategic communications planning, coordination, and tactical execution, with deep understanding of the Portuguese media and comms landscape and their relevance to, and impact on our business.
- Advanced media relations experience
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex matrix organization, with ability to effectively provide guidance and advice to business leaders on corporate reputation.
- Fluent in Portuguese and in English
- Moreover, you are an ambitious and proactive communication’s professional with Excellent writing and communication skills, able to work cross-functionally and autonomously, with a ‘can do’ attitude.- Also, you are patient focused and keen to drive change to defeat chronic diseases.**About the Department**
- You will be a part of a small dynamic team who are responsible for a spectrum of public affairs, communications, and sustainability activities, reporting to its Public Affairs Director.- Furthermore, you will have a close collaboration with other internal stakeholders with the goal to deliver impactful public affairs and sustainability strategies and tactics, to drive change and make a difference for patients.**Contact**
