As our Tax Team Leader, you'll play a crucial role in our Infineon Tax team. Your main responsibility will be focused on leading a team that ensures all tax compliance and reporting obligations are met. Additionally, you'll be expected to develop and maintain a high level of expertise in your field. By continuously monitoring and implementing effective solutions, you'll drive process efficiency and compliance. Overall, you'll be a key player in enhancing our team's performance and contributing to the company's success.

In your new role, you will:

- **Lead **a **dedicated team of VAT compliance operations **staff;
- **Responsible for leading VAT controls **and **reporting activities **and adherence to statutory requirements and **legislation at a country level **;
- **Monitor team tasks performance **and check progress of agreed transactions and processes to ensure timely completion;
- **Ownership of the team performance **and the **quality and effectiveness of the services **delivered to the organization.
- **Manages VAT compliance **relevant data-related transactions with involved internal and external parties;
- **Maintains internal procedures **and **implements new procedures **according to business and compliance needs;
- **Responds to operations-related inquiries **, as an escalation point of contact;
- **Reports accurately **and timely to Local and Global Tax function heads;
- **Liaises with functionally involved Management and Professionals **on an operational basis;
- **People development **in line with **employee needs and digital transformation **within the area;
- **Support and participation in projects **successful outcomes.

You are best equipped for this role if you have:

- **A Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxes **, or another relevant area;
- **At least 3 years of experience in a Tax role **, preferably in an international and multicultural environment;
- Proven experience in **team management **or **leadership **;
- Experience in **managing relationships between Tax Services **and different **Accounting areas **;
- Thorough **knowledge of European VAT regulation **;
- Proficiency in **Microsoft Office tools **, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
- Experience in **SAP **;
- **Fluency in English.
