We are now looking for a Finance Business Partner for the Engineering Center at Airbus GBS.

Responsibilities - your mission

Airbus has decided to set-up a new Centre of Competence ISE “In-Service Engineering” to enhance its capacity to technically support our Customers in their operations.
In the scope of the larger “Customer Care Centre”, this new CoC is in charge of the engineering support to Customer queries (reactive), the identification of solutions for the main in-service issues (corrective) and development of a customer operations’ knowledge in Engineering (preventive). This mission encompasses the whole Airbus Commercial Aircraft fleet worldwide.

For this new organization, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner within the FCIJ team. FCIJ is a transnational team of 15 people present in France, Germany, Spain and the UK.

The team is responsible for the controlling activities of five Engineering Center of Competences (IG: Flight Physics; IP: Powerplant & Propulsion; II: Architecture and Integration; 1S: InService Engineering; IZ: Strategy, Processes & Tools).
This team is built on a strong sense of support between team members and has a varied range of experiences in controlling and business.

Tasks & accountabilities:
You will be the primary interface between Program, Finance program and Business mainly for serial programmes (SA, A330, A350, A220) and R&T for 1S. Indeed, 1S organization contributes to support incidents raised by airlines and to SRM (Structural Repair Manuals) for serial programmes.
You shall support the business in decision making and ensure the adherence to financial targets and the strict compliance of official transactions.

You will prepare:

- Financial Planning and Year-End Forecasts including convergence with the respective programmes
- Quarterly and yearly financial reports, understanding deviations and proposing recovery actions whenever necessary

You will as well support the 1S controller with:

- Cost by Nature analysis both on internal and external costs.
- Elaboration and drumbeat of financial KPIs for 1S community and FCI reviews
- Definition of performance drivers together with business
- Adherence to Engineering Handbook

You will accompany & assist people, explain, give meaning to Finance drivers and processes and closely support the engineers.

You will contribute to the transformation of Finance for Engineering (Tools, Ways of Working,...) and you will participate in Engineering transformation projects.
- A capacity to understand the needs/ expectations of a domain while ensuring the overall center level remains in line with operational targets.
- To develop strong links of trust with the 1S community, FCI Central Team and Programs.
- To anticipate difficulties of coming challenges, Forecast submissions & feedbacks via Actuals and operational indicators reviews
- Good analytical skills to give meaning to complex facts and figures
- Being able to present synthetic outputs and key messages to your business, to the 1S centre controller, to FCI Central Team and to your colleagues.
- Autonomy, enthusiasm and continuous improvement spirit
- Experience in financial planning mandatory
- Business partnering mind-set (i.e. developing a trustful relationship, building empathy and focusing on added value)
- Able to challenge at different operational levels based on a solid analysis
- Strong Team spirit & team work
- Ability to steer people and activities transversally
- Good communication & presentation skills
- English is a must; knowledge of French / German / Spanish would be a plus

This role will involve some limited travel for business in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
