Financial Accountant

Verisure (in Portugal known as Securitas Direct) is seeking a talented, hands-on and passionate **Financial Accountant **to strenghten our Arlo business unit. The role will report to the Senior Financial Accounting Manager of Verisure Arlo Europe DAC and will be** based in Lisbon**.

This position will work closely with the Finance, Operations and FP+A teams based primarily in Ireland but also across Europe. Various tasks will also encompass regular interactions with the various teams within the wider Verisure business.

As a **Financial Accountant, responsibilities** will include, among others:

- Preparation of month end and quarter end Balance sheet account reconciliations. Ensuring all Accruals and prepayments booked correctly.
- Ownership of costing module ensuring that standard costs correctly recorded for all products.
- Reviewing, calculating and booking of various reserves for inventory, revenue and standard costs.
- Ensuring compliance with internal Verisure controls across all areas of accounting.
- Liaising with Auditors and handling audit requests for external statutory audits and any internal audits.
- VAT and other taxes compliance and reporting.
- Working with HR to ensure accurate payroll and commission calculations and payment.
- Ensuring corporate income tax returns & financial statements filed on timely basis.

- 4-5 years’ post qualification accounting experience preferred.
- Previous experience working for a large multinational company, with accounting experience in European regions preferred
- Enthusiastic, highly organized, outgoing, self-confident individual with strong communication skills, a focus on excellence and a desire to progress in the field of Finance
- Strong analytical ability and solid commercial awareness is a must
- Able to work independently, committed to learning and development, flexible
- Track record of managing month end close procedures.
- Advanced MS Excel Skills is required.
- Experience of Oracle E-Business ERP or Fusion cloud system is preferred.
