Product Manager, In Person Acceptance Product Development-1

Mastercard's Global Acceptance team focuses on making Mastercard the best way to pay everywhere. With our powerful suite of payment products, we are working on shaping the payments experiences of the future.

We are looking for a dynamic and innovation centric Manager to support our In Person Acceptance Product Management objectives that focuses on making Mastercard the best way to pay and ensuring that we continuously enhance the payment experiences at Point of Interaction (POI), through product innovation.

This is a global and visible role that sits at an intersection of Product and Process innovation and provides an excellent opportunity for future growth.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

- Take a data-driven approach to product enhancements, identifying opportunity areas and contributing to the In Person Acceptance product roadmap, prioritizing work to deliver against key areas of focus.
- Leverage the Studio framework (product management framework) to manage the delivery of ongoing innovation and enhancements for the In Person Acceptance products
- Incorporate and understanding of the broader payments ecosystem into ongoing product management (e.g. regulatory, legal, technology, competitive, technology environment etc.)
- Leverage working knowledge of Mastercard business, systems, products and customer requirements in making fact-based business and product decisions
- Leverage data & dashboards to quickly identify Product performance challenges, making recommendations on proposed action plans
- Participate in cross-functional teams (e.g. Product, Product Management-Technical, CX&D) in the development of business requirements to achieve Product objectives
- Drive institutionalized knowledge through the use of consistent product documentation (e.g., support documents) across the Studio framework
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by leveraging the learning & development curriculum to augment existing knowledge, skills and experiences
- Lead by example with hands-on approaches to demonstrate product management excellence and share best practices
- Demonstrate and drive Mastercard Way behaviours through their behaviour, (e.g. customer and stakeholder interactions)
- Provide day to day support on launching In Person Acceptance products, delivering best consumer experiences, creating scalable solution and support the team in solving unique real-world challenges.
- Work in lockstep with Mastercard cross-functional teams incl. engineering, regional product, global GTM and other teams (i.e. Marketing, Legal, Pricing, Product Delivery )
- Review and improve product management processes allowing roll out and support of In Person Acceptance products globally.
- Provide product management support to existing In Person Acceptance products.
- Contribute to the team objectives by example and build a strong culture of excellence, sense of urgency, customer centricity and winning with decency.
- Participate to external and internal discussions and communicate situationally with technically literate and non-literate stakeholders.
- Provide inputs regarding the market and customers preferences in order to influence the product roadmap.

ALL ABOUT YOU
- Considerable product management experience (5+ years).
- 5+ years of professional experience in new innovative product development and management, client facing consulting and technology.
- Strong understanding of the emerging technologies, merchant needs and prevailing business models.
- Strong focus on consumer experience coupled with very strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Passion for the customer.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage senior executives with ease. Ability to understand their requirements, build out plans and deliver on those.
- Sensitivity for multi-cultural, diverse background.
- Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships with stakeholders at the global/regional or local level.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, manage creative resources.
- Strategic mindset with ability to make quick decisions in challenging, ambiguous situations.
