- Ferring Pharmaceuticals, a specialty biopharmaceutical company with operations worldwide, is looking for a Travel & Expense Management Associate.

- This role is a member of the Global Indirect Procurement Team. The global travel & expense management function sets the vision and overall strategic direction of the global program, delivers the latest thinking in the areas of indirect sourcing while leading the change required to minimize costs and its associated infrastructure. The Travel & Expense Management Associate will hold a global remit and will support local stakeholders (internal and external) with travel, corporate card and expense management queries. The role will report to the Category Manager-Travel, Expense & Corporate Card, and includes scope across Concur Expense, Business Travel and corporate credit card program.
- Key Responsibilities:
- The specific responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to:
- The role is an internal customer service role which requires interaction at all levels of professionals at Ferring globally.-
- Partner with internal customers and external providers on a daily basis in all aspects of planning and coordinating company travel and expense programs.-
- Support the Category Manager Travel Expense and Corporate Cards in: 1) Ensuring T&E process and procedure documentation and user documentation are properly maintained and that necessary updates are created in a timely manner. 2) Identifying opportunities for improvements and cost savings in existing process and procedures. 3)The spend and service segmentation across VIP vs non VIP travel.-
- Maintain expert knowledge of all expense policy and related policies and procedures.-
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to various departmental systems effecting travel, card and expense activities (internally and/or with suppliers) like credit limit, travel booking issues etc.-
- Communicate with the corporate travel management company (TMC) to ensure travel related activities are in compliance with global corporate policies and procedures.-
- Follow up on cases and liaise between the supplier and the traveler or the travel team to resolve any technical issues in accordance with the applicable service level agreement.- Required Education/Qualifications/Skills:
- 4-5-year experience in the Business Travel Industry (Corporate or Supplier).-
- Experience of SAP Concur, TMC management, corporate card program and travel operations.-
- Technically savvy (proficient in Microsoft Office Suite) with a robust change management skillset.-
- Service Minded Attitude: patience, active listening, and problem solving in a fast-paced “customer” oriented environment.-
- Good organization, communication and time management skills required.-
- Ability to exercise discretion/judgment when dealing with sensitive situations.-
- Self-starter and ability to manage tasks independently.-
