**Chef - Sushi Handroll Bar**

Are you a skilled and passionate Chef with a deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine and the art of sushi? We are in search of an exceptional Chef to lead our Sushi Handroll Bar, where precision, creativity, and a commitment to authenticity are paramount. If you have extensive experience in a Japanese kitchen and a flair for crafting exquisite sushi, we invite you to join our team and be the culinary artist behind our handroll bar.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the culinary team in the preparation and creation of handcrafted sushi rolls, ensuring the highest quality and authenticity.
- Design and curate an innovative menu that showcases a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese culinary delights.
- Oversee the selection and procurement of fresh, high-quality ingredients, maintaining strict standards for freshness and presentation.
- Train, mentor, and inspire kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, as well as compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with management to control food costs, optimize menu pricing, and maximize profitability.
- Continuously seek opportunities for culinary innovation, staying current with industry trends and Japanese culinary techniques.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain equipment to guarantee efficient kitchen operations.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Chef in a Japanese kitchen, with a deep understanding of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques.
- Culinary degree or equivalent culinary training is a plus but not mandatory.
- A passion for Japanese culture and cuisine, with a dedication to maintaining authenticity in every dish.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor kitchen staff.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to maintain a well-run kitchen.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
- Creativity and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to design visually appealing and flavorful dishes.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the restaurant industry.
