Efficio is a specialist global management consultancy, focused on procurement and supply-chain. We are an international company in practice and in outlook and our employees reflect that. There are currently c.1400 employees globally and we have exciting plans to continue to grow rapidly over the next four years. Due to this growth, Efficio is seeking an experienced global payroll lead to join the team and elevate and improve current processes.

We have HR professionals in most offices, but the core team operates from the UK, with a high level of global team working, communication, and collaboration. This role is for a global payroll lead and will suit someone who is collaborative by nature, enjoys problem-solving, describes themselves as a perfectionist, and would enjoy working in a fast-paced, international environment. Role overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced global payroll lead to oversee and manage the payroll operations across our international offices. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of global payroll processes, compliance, and best practices. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with local regulations in each country.

Core Duties

1. Global Payroll Management: Own the end-to-end payroll process for all employees across our global offices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Facilitate the implementation of a global payroll provider.
2. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in each country. Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
3. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures across all locations.
4. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external payroll service providers, ensuring service level agreements are met and addressing any issues promptly.
5. Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data, including regular audits and reconciliations.
6. Integration: Work closely with the HR, Finance, and IT departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll systems with other business processes.
7. Employee Support: Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries and issues. Resolve discrepancies and ensure excellent customer service. Capture, update, and incorporate local regulations, changes, taxes, etc., and act as a pivotal point between HR and the Payroll providers, where applicable.
8. Involvement & Ownership: Involvement and ownership with other HR-related areas including global benefits.
