This will significantly increase your chances of success _____________________________________________________________ We are looking for an experienced Application Production Engineer to join a global financial institution and support mission-critical production environments. This role is key in ensuring system stability, managing incidents, maintaining infrastructure, and delivering seamless application performance in a 24/7 environment. About The RoleAs part of the Production Support team, you will manage incidents, respond to BAU requests, and execute infrastructure and application support activities. This role includes shift work and on-call rotation to support 24/7 production operations. Important: Your CV must clearly list the mandatory technical and experience requirements to be considered. Responsibilities Provide production support for Windows and Linux environments Analyze system logs and troubleshoot application & infrastructure issues Support and monitor batch processing and handle related incidents Review and create application support knowledge documentation Ensure production activities follow best practices and internal standards Monitor service availability, alerts, and performance, driving continuous improvement Participate in rotating shifts and on-call duties (including weekends and public holidays) Technical Requirements Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux administration – Mandatory Strong experience supporting middleware technologies (e.g., WebSphere / Tomcat) – Mandatory UNIX Shell / PowerShell / Python scripting (automation tasks) Batch processing & Autosys (job creation/modification) CI/CD tools knowledge Solid understanding of ITIL practices PL/SQL experience 3+ years in IT infrastructure & application support roles Nice to Have Exposure to networking & storage Knowledge of Oracle / MS SQL databases Experience with: SFTP, Axway CFT, MQ Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, Bitbucket ELK stack Cloud knowledge Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Clear written & verbal communication Ability to collaborate & share knowledge Proactive and influential attitude Language English: Fluent Location & Availability 100% onsite in Lisbon Start Date: ASAP 24/7 rota with shifts & on-call support Important Please ensure all mandatory technical skills and experience are clearly listed in your CV.
