About the Role

The Japanese Support Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring clear communication with Japanese clients. This will involve accurately translating emails, bugs, and project documents between Japanese and English, as well as supporting direct communication with Japanese clients through calls and chats.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Japanese business culture and etiquette, and will be able to provide insights into Japanese business manners and language nuances. They will also be able to collaborate effectively with the support team and act as a cultural and language resource.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately translate emails, bugs, and project documents between Japanese and English
  • Support direct communication with Japanese clients through calls and chats
  • Assist leads and project managers with understanding Japanese business manners and language nuances
  • Collaborate with the support team to ensure seamless handovers and mutual assistance
  • Act as a cultural and language resource for the team
  • Ensure that all communications and documents are properly tagged and archived
  • Assist with language testing or translation tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
  • Language Skills: Fluent in Japanese and English with experience in professional translation
  • Cultural Knowledge: Strong understanding of Japanese business culture and etiquette
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with attention to detail
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, especially in a remote or virtual setting
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA and email management systems
  • Educational Background: Degree in languages, communication, business, or a related field is preferred
  • Right to Work: Candidates must have the Right to Work (Citizenship or a Working VISA) in Portugal

  • On-Site in our Studio in Braga, Portugal
  • 8:00 to 17:00, Mondays through Fridays
