About the Role
The Japanese Support Specialist is responsible for facilitating effective communication with Japanese clients by translating emails, bugs, and project documents between Japanese and English. This role involves supporting direct communication with Japanese clients through calls and chats, ensuring clarity and cultural adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate emails, bugs, and project documents between Japanese and English to ensure clear communication with clients.
- Support direct communication with Japanese clients over calls and chats, ensuring clarity and adherence to cultural expectations.
- Assist leads and project managers by providing insights into Japanese business manners and language nuances.
- Collaborate with the support team to facilitate easy handovers and mutual assistance.
- Act as a cultural and language training resource for other team members.
- Ensure all communications and documents are appropriately tagged and archived for future reference.
- Assist with language testing or translation tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Fluent in Japanese and English with experience in professional translation.
- Strong understanding of Japanese business culture and etiquette.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a remote or virtual setting.
- Familiarity with project management tools and email management systems.
