Opportunity Overview: We are seeking a skilled People Operations Coordinator to join our Lisbon team and support the growth of our global team in the EMEA region. As a key member of the People Experience & Operations team, you will be the go-to person for employee inquiries and connections to various HR areas.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support at our Lisbon office
- Respond to employee inquiries and resolve issues through our global employee platform (ServiceNow)
- Manage EMEA-wide tasks, such as employment verification letters, medical checks, and ensuring compliance with local legislation
- Run regular audits, ensure data integrity, and create reports
- Coordinate with employees, managers, HR teams, and external stakeholders to handle employment-related processes
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks within the People Operations Team
- Identify and improve operational weaknesses within the region, and support or manage projects aimed at enhancing employee lifecycle processes to keep up with Uber's growth
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in a People/HR Operations role within a high-growth tech company or large organization
- Basic understanding of EMEA employment laws and their impact on HR matters
- Experience with Workday (HRIS) and/or ticketing systems, as well as Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong customer service and administrative skills
- Basic project management and stakeholder management skills
- Professional proficiency in English and Portuguese, with additional language skills (e.g., French) being a plus
