The Position

We are seeking a Medical Solutions Specialist - Regional Expert to join our team in Portugal. This is an in-field position that will contribute to the expansion of our current and future portfolio, promoting our solutions amongst clients and partners. As a specialist, you will identify opportunities and promote our products and solutions within the health ecosystem, including primary care settings, hospitals, private groups, and pharmacies.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage the assigned territory, identifying growth opportunities, collecting and bringing insights on competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs; achieving sales targets, analyzing sales data, and implementing appropriate actions in alignment with the established strategy.
  • Provide up-to-date scientific information, benefits, and features of our portfolio to healthcare professionals, including conducting presentations and training sessions. Actively build strong relationships with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals relevant for the area.
  • Keep up to date with technical and scientific developments. Carry out high-technical competence training and support of systems and/or products marketed by Roche according to requirements and needs of customers and the business.
  • Enhance customer experience and subsequently secure Roche's position in the market by organically expanding our footprint in close collaboration with other colleagues in the organization. Make keen decisions and autonomously manage a budget to invest in the market, HCPs, and/or pharmacies based on customer needs and in total alignment with strategic pillars and guidance of the company.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal, and ethical regulations in the industry.

Requirements

  • You hold a higher education degree in Life Sciences, Health, Business Management, or other relevant fields.
  • You have sales experience in the Pharmaceutical sector, preferably in Diabetes Care and/or Diagnostics/Point of Care solutions in the south region of Portugal.
  • You demonstrate a strong customer orientation and focus on the customer experience and sense of urgency, expertise for after-sales support & training, and a sense of operational excellence.
  • You demonstrate commercial acumen, with a strong motivation to achieve results, which translates into the ability to ensure operational excellence and identify/foster business opportunities in a competitive environment.
  • You demonstrate a strong collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills that allow the development of long-term and trustful relationships.
  • You have the ability to work in cross-functional teams in an agile environment. You see others' success as inspirational, you are passionate and enthusiastic, demonstrate a growth mindset, and proactively seek opportunities for learning and developing your skills.
  • You demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to take risks and experiment new approaches.
  • You demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills that allow you to effectively communicate with different target audiences.
  • You have knowledge on CRM systems, business analytics, and digital health, professional working proficiency in English, and are fluent in Portuguese.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, approximately €55,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Location

This role requires residence in the South region of Portugal, ideally Faro or Portimão.
