The Senior Commercial Director will lead global business expansion in the international trade, freight forwarding, technology, and logistics sector. This position involves identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and travelling extensively to connect with potential clients worldwide. The ideal candidate will be able to attend large tender processes and understand quickly large business opportunities for the company.

The client's team is known for combining the latest technologies with industry best practices to deliver on their promise of a meaningful digital transformation through TMS, Business Automation, SCM, and Freight Forwarding Apps.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Hunt for new business: Identify, engage, and secure new clients in the freight forward, international trade, logistics, and technology sectors.
  • Drive global expansion: Develop and execute sales strategies to expand our international footprint.
  • Manage high workload effectively: Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handling multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
  • Travel extensively: Meet with potential clients worldwide to build relationships and close deals.
  • Lead negotiations: Manage complex sales cycles, from initial contact to contract closing.
  • Understand client needs: Provide tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in business, international trade, freight forwarding, supply chain, technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial, sales, or business development role within the technology, logistics, or consultancy industries.
  • Proven track record in hunting for new business and closing large B2B deals.
  • Experience working with Salesforce as a CRM tool and TMS/WMS software.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple projects in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with experience in international sales.
  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish and additional languages are a strong plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to meet clients and attend industry events and tender processes worldwide.
