About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Device Sales Representative to join our Cardiac Surgery team in the North region of Portugal. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Cardiac Surgery business with existing and new customers in line with our business guidelines and strategies for your sales territory while meeting financial and non-financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximize sales by performing all activities from product introduction and presentation to contract negotiation, in line with the sales strategy.
- Identify, prepare, and execute upcoming tenders.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting business relationships with key opinion leaders and decision-makers influential in the purchasing process.
- Analyze the market in the corresponding region, develop an effective territory/account sales strategy, and plan sales coverage/resources in the most efficient and economical manner in conjunction with the regional sales manager.
- Ensure proper control of consignment and all other stock levels according to asset management guidelines and targets.
- Continuously acquire and maintain knowledge about products, technology, the market, healthcare environment, sales tools, and processes.
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or University degree in life-science, engineering (biomedical engineering, electrical, natural sciences, etc.), or other relevant fields (nursing, technician, etc.).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the medical device industry, preferable in a sales role, but it's not a limitation.
- Experience in cardiac surgery or cardiology is highly valued.
- Healthcare and/or hospital related experience.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (reading, conversation, and writing) with intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
- Proficient in computer literacy.
- Clean driver's license and willingness to travel intensively.
About the Salary: The estimated salary for this role is €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience.
