We are seeking a skilled Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team in Portugal. As a key member of our ESI Europe division, you will be responsible for developing sourcing and cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials and equipment used in the solar PV business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing sourcing and cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials and equipment used in the solar PV business;
  • Developing pre-sales activities working closely with the Sales Department to implement the necessary purchasing measures to increase results;
  • Budgeting and developing solutions associated with the installation of decentralized solar systems;
  • Managing supplier identification and onboarding process, including risk management, supplier setup, and contract management;
  • Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities;
  • Ensuring compliance with delivery times and prices stipulated in the contractual phase;
  • Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries;
  • Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement.

Requirements

  • Pre-sales experience in developing and budgeting technical solutions;
  • Strong experience in procurement of small and large volumes;
  • Commercial and financial awareness as managing budgets and keeping costs down is a key part of the role;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
  • English proficiency (other languages are a plus);
  • Positive, motivational, and problem-solving attitude;
  • Ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines;
  • Excellent multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize.
