Leading Technical Sales Strategist for Personal Care

The Technical Sales Manager EMEA, Personal Care role at Elementis is a key position that requires a seasoned professional to drive sales growth and technical expertise in the personal care sector.
About the RoleThis pivotal role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales managers, global key account managers, marketing, and R&D functions to expand customer relationships, strengthen Elementis' brand image, and identify new business opportunities.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver Technical Expertise: Lead the team to achieve business objectives and fast-track the creation of new business opportunities across all tiers.
- Customer Projects: Collaborate with technology, marketing, and sales teams to resolve and troubleshoot technical issues related to product formulation and manufacturing. Develop and enhance technical relationships with current and new customers, understanding their strategic direction and introducing the Elementis value proposition to support their plans.
- Product Innovation: Drive and identify market needs, customer expectations, and regulatory standards in collaboration with R&D and marketing teams. Lead and/or participate in multifunctional projects for Personal Care.
- Training Programs: Design and develop comprehensive training programs for internal teams and customers, ensuring clear communication of Elementis' products value proposition.
- New Business Opportunities: Identify and align new business opportunities with the company's strategy; align internal technical expertise with customer needs to drive new project development and support sales and marketing initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of product formulation in the personal care sector and understanding of industry-specific regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Leadership: Ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams, think strategically to align technical efforts with company goals, and mentor team members.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Effective working with cross-functional teams, collaborative problem-solving, and project execution approach.
- Customer Focus: Providing technical support, resolving customer issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality products and services.
- Project Management: Managing multiple projects simultaneously, strong organizational and time management skills, and experience in project planning from concept to completion.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Commitment to staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Business Acumen: Understanding commercial aspects of product development and ability to align technical initiatives with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the personal care industry.
- IT Skills: Advanced computer software capabilities like MS Office.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English, any other European language is a plus.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately €120,000 - €150,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a home office-based work arrangement with up to 50% traveling required.
