Compensation Specialist for International Payroll Operations

Global Business Services (GBS)

We develop, maintain, and implement standardized transactional processes across Bose, delivered from our Lisbon, Portugal Business Services Center (BSC) and supported across other Bose offices worldwide. By closely aligning with internal customers and partnering with the BSC, GBS manages the delivery of services to achieve our internal business needs by driving efficiencies and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Global Payroll for both in-country and external Payroll Providers
  • Document and update payroll procedures as required, working with other teams to continuously improve, appropriately document, and effectively follow work processes
  • Learn payroll procedures for countries where a backup is required
  • Ensure proper reporting as per legal and/or business needs
  • Identify and implement improvements to the process
  • Support the team with different projects

Requirements

You'll need:

  • Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Experience with payroll in Portugal or internationally
  • Fluency in English; fluency in German will be considered a plus
  • Background in an administrative position working to strict deadlines
  • Essential: accuracy, attention to detail, organization, analytical skills, flexibility to meet demands of multiple processes, and strict deadline activity
  • Customer-focused and comfortable working with diverse people
  • Strong Excel and Windows skills (analyzing reports, searching and tracking documentation)
  • Understanding of payroll requirements, laws, and regulations for employees working in different locations
  • Proven track record of driving process improvement

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is between €45,000 - €60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure is based on industry standards for similar positions in the Lisbon area.
