As a key member of the risk team, you will be responsible for undertaking thorough analyses of SME businesses, assessing their markets, financials, products, activities, and cash headroom modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare submissions to the Credit Committee with results and recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of automated risk modeling and adapt processes to local markets.
- Assess company financials, operations, and trade cycles to understand fundamental business health and inherent credit risk.
- Analyse companies' structure, their directors, and activity to understand fraud risk.
- Synthesise and present analysis to senior leadership during the decision-making process.
Requirements:
- Quantitative bachelor's and/or master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of the Portuguese market and its specifics.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English, with further languages spoken highly valued.
- Autonomous and comfortable interacting with other departments.
- Analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.
