**About Siemens Foundational Technologies Department**
- Siemens Foundational Technology is the central in-house R&D unit at Siemens and as such is an integral part of Siemens' innovation ecosystem. It acts as a strategic partner to support Siemens’ business units with R&D services, contributes to the company’s intellectual property portfolio, and coordinates the collaboration with top universities worldwide. Through its R&D activities in Germany, USA, Portugal, China, India, and Eastern Europe, Siemens Foundational Technology helps to ensure the company’s technological future.

**Your mission will be**
- Our UX department designs user-centric digital solutions for industrial platforms, performing user research, testing, and close cross-functional collaboration to deliver intuitive and efficient experiences.
- We are seeking a UX Intern to join our team. As part of our group, you will help conduct research and design user interfaces to improve user experience for our industrial and automation products.

**What are the responsibilities?**
- Support in conducting comprehensive user research, utilizing interviews, surveys, usability tests, and journey mapping to gather insights and facilitate seamless team communication.
- Analyze and document user insights, extracting actionable findings to support user-centered design and development processes.
- Contribute to the preparation of insightful reports and presentations, advocating for user-centric improvements and embedding user-focused approaches across projects.
- Collaborate on UI Design improvements, teaming up with UI designers to support enhancing and aligning interfaces with user needs and trends, ensuring intuitive and visually appealing solutions.
- Assist in creating dynamic UI prototypes, integrating feedback to refine visual concepts and interactive models for development.
- Engage with UX architects, UI designers, and development teams, ensuring clear communication of insights and fostering a positive team spirit.
- Act as a UX evangelist, promoting user-centered approaches with dedication to refining user experiences at every stage..

**We are looking for someone with**
- A completed university degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field
- Ability to describe user needs and business opportunities to varied audiences using both quantitative and qualitative data
- Strong critical thinking, proactive problem solver, committed to continuous learning, with a feedback-driven mindset.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills (English proficiency required), comfortable engaging with designers, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a dynamic, creative environment
- Passion for UI design and UX research with special interest in projects related to smart buildings, industry, or industrial automation
- Enthusiasm for AI and transformative technologies, eager to explore their impact and lead in understanding future advancements.
- Open communication and mutual respect, promoting a positive team spirit and knowledge sharing to ensure alignment and productivity.
- Commitment for a 12-month internship, concluding with a presentation of your results
- Effective communication and team skills and proficiency with Figma

**Nice to Have**:

- Experience with FigJam/Miro, TheyDo, or Condens.
