**About the job**
- As a Business Research Trainee, you will be joining a team of Business Information Specialists with a wide experience of databases, learn research methodologies, have access to varied databases, and learn how to answer business queries
**Your Main Activities Are**
- Conduct information searches leveraging on a wide range of databases concerning different industries, company financials, macro-economic environment, and others, to help the BNP Paribas Mergers & Acquisitions teams to identify major players, market shares, potential investment opportunities and trends
- Catalogue our digital repository
- Identify and collate data
- Collaborate on the organization of training sessions and participate in projects
**Profile and Skills to Success**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Finance, Information Sciences, Information management or related
- Knowledge of Economics, Finance and Markets
- Knowledge of MS Office Pack Microsoft
- Fluent in English, verbal and written
- Collaborative and good interpersonal and communication skills
- Curious and open to learn
- Able to assimilate information quickly and effectively
- Customer-oriented and able to finalize work promptly and accurately
- Good team spirit
- Rigour and adaptability to operate in a corporate environment with often changing priorities
**About the Team**
- The Information Centre team supports all European BNP Paribas Mergers & Acquisitions teams with business research activities, such as ensuring a prompt response through a wide range of specialized databases, providing added value and in-depth research on specific Industries or companies and helping our clients to clearly detail and specify their information needs and guide them in undertaking their own research
- The team also ensures a close link with our internal client throughout the whole of the research period, a high level of confidentiality of information we provide, and close and regular contact with our database providers
