**Role Overview**

**We are looking for**:

- A Payroll Specialist that will be in charge of supporting the Solvay Portugal Payroll Team by providing accurate and timely services linked to Payroll, Time and Benefits for Portugal.
- Under the guidance of the Payroll Manager for Portugal, you will be in charge autonomously for several operational and complex activities linked to Payroll, Time and Benefits.

**We count on you for**:

- Coordinate the payroll processes and ensure the controls and follow-up in collaboration with the Payroll team as well with the external payroll provider to ensure the timely and up-to-standard delivery of Payroll service, using SAP payroll.
- Guarantee the monthly payroll closure activities aligned with the implemented processes and workflows (data input in systems and needed validations).
- Monitor data quality in the given HR/payroll systems according with the implemented validation routines and audits.
- Analyze new legislation and HR rules, and assess their impact on the processes, procedure and tools (change requests to be managed in relationship with HR and the external payroll provider)
- Define functional recommendations or continuous improvements, and systems and process requirements based on his/her knowledge of local legislation and HR rules.
- Provide support for preparing the compensation campaign, monitors and extracts information for reporting purposes and payroll implementation
- Provide expertise and support to colleagues and internal stakeholders such as Business HR, GCC in all payroll/time and Benefit related topics
- Support to internal customers (employees) on payroll, time and benefit related queries through proper and approved communication channels.
- Deliver information to the external authorities (Tax, Social Security, FCT, GEP and other authorities) and ensure monthly/yearly reporting and payment obligations.
- Ensure incident’s monitor and follow up with different external parties (Tax Authorities, Social Security, External vendors, Courts and others)
- Supporting payroll related audits
- Participate and support to some transversal projects

**You will bring**:

- University degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Economy or Finance with some emphasis in Human Resources field or equivalent through experience
- Strong experience in HR and Payroll on operational level, minimum of 2 years
- Knowledge in some HR and Payroll related tools (SAP HR, Success Factors and similar tools)
- Knowledge in local labor and tax law
- Strong knowledge in end user tools, specially Microsoft Excel, Google tools
- Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English
- Good organization skills, ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, proactivity and customer focus
- Collaborative and team player, able to work autonomously, continuous improvement mindset
