**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
**Essential Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience in Microsoft computer network architecture and maintenance
- Experience working with virtualization technologies, in particular VMWare

**DUTIES/ROLE**:
- Provide monthly reports of any security threats that are detected, including details such as type of threat, affected devices, and the actions taken to remote it
- Ensure that endpoint protection software is up to date with latest patches and definitions
- Configure endpoint protection software to align with NCI Agency’s security policies and best practices
- Maintain the configuration of backup software and hardware to perform regular backups according to the backup strategy
- Test backups to ensure they are valid, complete and can be used for recovery purposes
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of backup and recovery procedures, including schedules, recovery procedures and testing results
- Document the IT systems and infrastructure, including the hardware, software and network components, to provide an overview of the entire IT environment
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of the configuration of all IT systems and components
- Evaluate any reports of lack of performance in the ALE, conducting performance tests to identify bottlenecks and constrains, and identify areas of improvement
- Provide monthly performance reports including metrics such as response time, throughput and resource utilization
- User account provisioning, including configuring access rights and permissions, and providing users with the necessary credentials to access the ALE
- User account maintenance, including updating access rights and permissions, password resets and account deactivation or deletion
- Account auditing to ensure that they are being used appropriately and that there are no unauthorized user accounts
