Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for an Information Technology Desktop Support specialist located in Lisbon Portugal. We have a client that is opening a Luxury Hotel and onsite support is needed for employees.
In that role, the activities of IT support consist in :
PRE OPENING SUPPORT
➢ End User Support for staff
➢ Pre-Opening Onsite Support – days leading up to, during & after opening to support end users
ONGOING SUPPORT AFTER OPENING
Operation :
● Manage network, equipment and application operation
● Perform system and security upgrade for deployed application
● Perform system and security upgrade for operating system on installed servers
● Perform system and security upgrade for installed desktops and laptops
● Rollout new equipment in Main Equipment Room
● Rollout new equipment in Technical Rooms
● Rollout new laptops and desktops
● Rollout new local business application
● Rollout evolution on existing local business application
● Manage user rights, users account and users profiles
Support and incident management :
● Manage network, equipment and application support
● Manage end users support for devices and office tools
● Manage IT outages
● Manage the escalations to vendors regarding applications outages which can't be solved locally.
● Manage the escalations and provide remote control to Barrière iT team when needed
Monitoring and follow up
● Monitor local applications, servers and network equipment and network
● Ensure security policy is correctly applied for the IT in the hotel and external offices
● Perform inventory tasks
● Ensure licenses follow up
Backup and restore tasks
● Manage local backup and perform restore operation when required
Communication and documentation :
● Manage documentation relating to local process
● Report to the IT team in the Barrière Group headquarter
● Share and give feedbacks and advices to the Bar
Qualifications
- Network Administration and Information Technology skills
- Troubleshooting Microsoft 365
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well in a team
- Experience with desktop support in a business environment
- Previous experience in IT, customer service, or other related fields
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Positive and professional demeanor
