Job Description
Fraunhofer Portugal
is seeking a Junior Finance Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team within the Finance Department.

Your Role

• Support in all daily activities of the Finance Department, particularly in accounting, treasury management and project financial reports;
• Preparation of financial reports based on information exported from the accounting/ERP management system;
• Balance analysis, accounts receivable and payable monitoring, and outstanding balance oversight;
• Communicating with third parties (clients, suppliers and other entities) regarding account analysis and reconciliation;
• Liaising with other departments within the organization on matters relating to the processing and validation of financial documentation;
• Review and validation of accounting documentation;
• Data entry and recording of documents in the institution's management/accounting ERP system;
• Execution of accounting and management accounting procedures;
• Preparing and submitting project payment requests to funding agencies;
• Completing electronic report forms for tax authorities and other external entities;
• Organization and maintenance of financial and accounting records in physical and digital formats.

Your Profile

• Mandatory Requirements:

Academic Qualifications
: Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Accounting, Management, Finance, or a related field.

Professional Experience
: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience relevant for the job.

• Technical Skills:

Knowledge of general and management accounting;

Proficiency in MS Office, with a strong focus on Excel;

Knowledge of or experience with PHC management/ERP software is an asset;

Basic knowledge of taxation and financial reporting (preferred).

• Other Skills:

Accuracy, organization, and attention to detail;

Strong analytical skills and ability to manage financial information;

Good written and spoken command of the English language.
