For our Porto office, we are looking for an entrepreneurial Sales & Business Development Manager who combines a passion for technology with strong commercial skills. In this role, will inspire and guide clients, identify new sectors and partnerships and shape long-term strategy to expand ACE's presence in existing and emerging markets in Portugal.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As Sales & Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Drive business growth: Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to expand ACE's client base.
  • Lead sales efforts: Sell technical services and project solutions, develop proposals, and convert opportunities into successful contracts.
  • Represent ACE in the market: Act as a brand ambassador, cultivating relationships and networks in key industries.
  • Deliver client-focused solutions: Understand customer needs and provide tailored advice for engineering projects.
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with marketing for campaigns and with engineers for technical support.
  • Spot opportunities: Combine cold acquisition with maintaining existing relationships and identifying new sectors.
  • Analyze market trends: Monitor competitors and market developments to identify growth opportunities.

COMPETENCIES

  • Active Networking & Negotiation: Build relationships, schedule calls, negotiate contracts, and help customers solve problems.
  • Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Portuguese industrial landscape with a solid technical affinity.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Partner with the central marketing team to craft compelling, customer-focused messaging.
  • Results-Oriented Closer: Positive, persuasive, and confident in sealing deals.
  • Independent & Team Player: Comfortable working autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Sales Expertise: Proficient in modern sales and negotiation techniques.
  • Mobility: Valid Category B driver's license and willingness to travel for business.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in sales or commercial equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar sales or business-development role, preferably selling services, with a proven track record of driving growth.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation abilities in both Portuguese and English.
