The Deputy General Manager at The Largo is a key member of our leadership team, working closely with the General Manager to ensure the hotel operates smoothly each day. This role requires a strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and overall hotel operational quality. We are seeking someone who is deeply present within the hotel environment — not just managing but engaging and inspiring the team.

The Deputy General Manager will truly embody The Largo, its culture and ethos, and be responsible for the efficient operational delivery of outstanding guest service and experience. This individual will liaise and work collaboratively with hotel counterparts in all departments.

The right candidate understands luxury not as formality, but as care, comfort, and attention to detail. They carry strong operational expertise, a commitment to excellence, and a genuine love for creating memorable guest experiences. Has a strong operational foundation in both F&B and Rooms, exceptional financial understanding.

The Largo is a somewhat unusual luxury concept, with authenticity and understatement being a core part of our concept. The successful candidate will be an out-of-the-box thinker, who has an intuitive grasp of the luxury industry, as well as the strategic know-how to pursue a highly considered, bespoke approach to every touchpoint of the operation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years Senior leadership in luxury hospitality, boutique or independent preferred, and international background are key.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese.
  • Proven operational expertise in F&B and Hotel Operations.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with experience in managing P&L responsibility.
  • A calm, considerate approach under pressure and a dedication to quality.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A personal passion for hosting, craftsmanship, and meaningful service.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving results.
