Context of the Mission

The organization is building the foundations of an AI Factory to industrialize the development, deployment, and governance of AI solutions across the enterprise.

The AI Factory aims to enable the scaling of high-value AI use cases in a secure, robust, and sustainable manner, ensuring strong governance, reusability, and operational excellence.

As a Senior AI Software Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and implementing the core technical foundations of this AI Factory, working closely with architecture, data, security, and business teams.

Mission Objectives

The objective of the mission is to design, implement, and operationalize scalable AI engineering foundations that accelerate AI adoption across the organization.

You will contribute at both a strategic architecture level and through hands-on implementation, ensuring that best practices are embedded from day one.

Key ResponsibilitiesAI Architecture & Standards

  • Design target architectures for AI development, deployment, and operations (AI/ML platforms, pipelines, and services)
  • Define engineering standards, best practices, and reusable patterns for AI solutions
  • Contribute to AI governance, security, and compliance-by-design principles

AI Factory Foundations

  • Set up scalable frameworks for:
  • Model development and experimentation
  • CI/CD for AI/ML (MLOps)
  • Model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
  • Select and integrate relevant tools, platforms, and cloud services

Use Case Enablement

  • Support and contribute to the first operational AI use cases
  • Ensure solutions are production-ready, scalable, and maintainable
  • Validate the AI Factory approach through real-world implementations

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Work closely with data scientists, platform engineers, cloud teams, and security
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to internal teams
  • Document architectures, patterns, and implementation guidelines

Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Skills

  • Strong experience in AI/ML software engineering (production-grade systems)
  • Proficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
  • Experience with MLOps practices and tooling (CI/CD, model lifecycle, monitoring)
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • API and microservices design for AI services

Architecture & Engineering

  • Proven experience designing scalable and reusable AI platforms
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices
  • Experience in enterprise environments with governance and security constraints

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote, freelance setup
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional and international teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience contributing to an AI Factory or enterprise AI platform
  • Knowledge of data platforms (data lakes, feature stores)
  • Exposure to regulated or industrial environments
  • Experience with model monitoring, explainability, and responsible AI
