About the role
Join our dynamic team as a Contract Operations Coordinator, a key role within the E3S team of the GBS unit. This position is pivotal in leading and ensuring accurate and compliant processing of contracting requests in accordance with policies, procedures, regulations, and transparency/disclosure reporting requirements. The role also provides payment support related to management of associated payments when required. A successful candidate will have a project management mentality with a focus on responsiveness, partnering to conduct operational tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of requirements and will provide guidance to partners (customers), management, and peers. 

Accountabilities
As a Contract Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for reviewing and ensuring the completeness of incoming External Expert/Patient engagement applications and requests. You will coordinate the triaging of these requests to the appropriate reviewer and business area, offering guidance to guarantee the acquisition and retention of required approvals. You will perform preliminary reviews to safeguard against contracting with any individual or entity that is debarred, excluded, or restricted for any reason from doing business with the organization. You will ensure the timely receipt of executed letters of agreement (LOA) and contracts in accordance with service level agreements before the program start date. Coordinating provider requests for changes to LOAs/contracts is another key responsibility. You will be accountable for collecting data elements to ensure adherence to physician payment reporting requirements for Open Payments, EFPIA, and other state and country regulations. This accountability extends to ensuring accurate and timely requests for required payment information by facilitating the timely receipt of necessary documents and collaborating with the payment team.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong technical/systems experience and skills (, iBuy, Coupa, SAP, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
- Ability to quickly learn and work within AZ administrative tools and multiple processes
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and adjust workload as business needs require
- Demonstrated ability to project manage and organize each activity by working with and managing customers
- Demonstrated ability to lead budget owners through the contracting process and follow standard operating procedures and working instructions
- Understanding of SAP and purchase to pay systems/processes, procurement
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Capable of working independently
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills (English is the corporate language)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and demonstrated ability to partner effectively with others
- High ethical standards, honest, operating with absolute discretion

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role or demonstrated ability to manage simple to complex projects/contracts
- Prior experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, Compliance, Legal, Procurement) or a consulting firm working with pharmaceutical clients
- Familiarity with the technical and functional elements of requirements including but not limited to compliance, legislation (, Physician Payment Sunshine Act, EFPIA), data sources/quality, and reporting
- Experience with compliance, finance, auditing, quality assurance/control, SOX and/or risk management
- Global / cross-cultural experience
